Description
Kelch-like protein 32 (KLHL32) belongs to the KLHL family ( KLHL family members belong to the N-dimer, C-propeller
subclass of Kelch repeat proteins)
[1]. Its function is not clear.( Expression: Brain https://www.proteinatlas.org/ENSG00000186231-KLHL32/tissue
The
KLHL (Kelch-like) proteins generally have a BTB/POZ domain, a BACK
domain, and five to six Kelch motifs. They constitute a subgroup at the
intersection between the BTB/POZ domain and Kelch domain superfamilies.
The BTB/POZ domain facilitates protein binding
[1],
while the Kelch domain (repeats) form beta-propellers. 10 20 30 40 50 MPSERCLSIQ EMLTGQRLCH SESHNDSVLA ALNQQRSDGI LCDITLIAEE 60 70 80 90 100 QKFHAHKAVL AACSDYFRAM FSLCMVESGA DEVNLHGVTS LGLKQALEFA 110 120 130 140 150 YTGQILLEPG VIQDVLAAGS HLQLLELLNL CSHYLIQELN SFNYLDLYRL 160 170 180 190 200 ADLFNLTLLE KAVIDFLVKH LSELLKSRPE EVLTLPYCLL QEVLKSDRLT 210 220 230 240 250 SLSEEQIWQL AVRWLEHNCH YQYMDELLQY IRFGLMDVDT LHTVALSHPL 260 270 280 290 300 VQASETATAL VNEALEYHQS IYAQPVWQTR RTKPRFQSDT LYIIGGKKRE 310 320 330 340 350 VCKVKELRYF NPVDQENALI AAIANWSELA PMPVGRSHHC VAVMGDFLFV 360 370 380 390 400 AGGEVEHASG RTCAVRTACR YDPRSNSWAE IAPMKNCREH FVLGAMEEYL 410 420 430 440 450 YAVGGRNELR QVLPTVERYC PKKNKWTFVQ SFDRSLSCHA GYVADGLLWI 460 470 480 490 500 SGGVTNTAQY QNRLMVYEPN QNKWISRSPM LQRRVYHSMA AVQRKLYVLG 510 520 530 540 550 GNDLDYNNDR ILVRHIDSYN IDTDQWTRCN FNLLTGQNES GVAVHNGRIY 560 570 580 590 600 LVGGYSIWTN EPLACIQVLD VSREGKEEVF YGPTLPFASN GIAACFLPAP 610 620 YFTCPNLQTL QVPHHRIGTI

(The Kelch superfamily of proteins can be subdivided into five groups:
(1)
N-propeller, C-dimer proteins,
(2) N-propeller proteins,
(3) propeller
proteins,
(4) N-dimer, C-propeller proteins, ( Tämä KLHL32 kuuluu niihin joilla on N-dimeeri ja C-propellit)
(5) C-propeller
proteins.

.
In addition to BTB/POZ and Kelch domains, the KLHL family members
contain a BACK domain, first described as a 130-residue region of
conservation observed amongst BTB-Kelch proteins
[3].
Many of the Kelch-like proteins have been identified as adaptors for
the recruitment of substrates to Cul3-based E3 ubiquitin ligases [4, 5]
